To put all of TorahWeb's divrei Torah on your Palm/Treo, you need to download free software called Plucker.
Installation Instructions:
Step 1: Download and install Plucker Viewer (269 KB) on your Palm. "viewer_en.prc" and
"SysZlib.prc" must both be installed; "PluckerUserGuide.pdb" is optional. See below for instructions on how to install files on your Palm.
Step 2: Download and install onto your Palm one or more of the following files:
- TorahWeb divrei Torah sorted by author (1.37 MB)
- TorahWeb divrei Torah sorted by parsha (1.11 MB)
- TorahWeb divrei Torah on moadim (620 KB)
- all three in one zip file (3 MB)
Step 3: On your Plam Pilot, select the "Plucker" icon - Plucker will open and show a list of the files you have installed
(if you do not see an icon for Plucker on your Palm, check the "Unfiled" category of applications on your Palm.) Select one of the files, and enjoy!
Please note the following:
- The files will be updated on a weekly basis, with the new dvar Torah for that week
added. Users have to re-download and install the TorahWeb eBook file(s) to get the new dvar Torah. There is no need to re-install the Plucker Viewer each week.
- Refer to the Plucker web site and the Plucker User's Guide for more information on using Plucker.
- The Plucker Viewer and the all-three-in-one eBook download option are zip files
- TorahWeb does not offer tech support. However, we appreciate your reporting any problems you have, so we can improve this service.
