Let's pick up with the pasuk yud. Again, we're skipping the last few lines of the Beur Ha-Gra on pasuk tes. Let's take a look at pasuk yud rabosai. What does the Gaon say?
Lo tomar
v'daas, excuse me, So this is an idea that we encountered, I think back in pasuk vav also, that the upward spiral of talmud torah is not only that a person first is zocheh to some chochmah and then the binah follows etc., but as a person grows so then there's another cycle of the chochmah binah, that even the most basic chochmah the person now realizes it's not just that there's oh there's even more binah and there's even more daas in the chochmah that I've learned, no, there's so much more chochmah to be had. Again, we gave the mashal of that a person initially learns chumash when he's a child. So it's chochmah, he learns the psukim. Then when a person comes back and learns chumash again, knowing more, being intellectually more mature, being spiritually more receptive, so it's not just that there's more binah, there's more daas etc., there's just simply more chochmah. And that's what the Gaon is lichora describing again here, that even when the cycle lichora completes itself, when the cycle is finished in the sense of the chochmah binah daas which results in the תבין צדק ומשפט ומישרים כל מעגל טוב in the application, implementation, so don't think don't think that I'm finished, no, now there's time for another cycle to begin.
And there's a mesikus, there's a sweetness, there's a pleasantness that a person experiences. The more of chochmas ha-torah a person has, the more of a sweetness, the more of a pleasantness that the person experiences. And another pshat lichora:
כי תבוא חכמה בלבך כלומר עוד זאת יהיה לך שתבוא החכמה שלמדת בלבך ולא תשכח אותה.
The process outlined described in the previous psukim will yield the result that the chochmah, כי תבוא חכמה בלבך, so according to this havanah in the Gaon it doesn't mean additional chochmah, but what it means is that that same chochmah will be secured. I guess the mashal is you know that first a person maybe acquires a hundred dollars and then he's able to put the hundred dollars in a vault in the bank, so he's secured that hundred dollars. On this line of interpretation, we're not talking about additional chochmah, but we're rather talking about the securing and the preservation.
It's gonna be, it's gonna register on your mind, on your heart, v'lo tishkacheha. V'da'as l'nafshecha yin'am
And that will again produce this, this pleasantness, this sweetness. So l'cho-ray there are two ideas I think here in the Gaon. Number one, just the etzem fact that, that the person is, is able, is zocheh to retain that which he learns is obviously an incredible and source of incredible ne'imus. But k'midumeh that the Gaon here is alluding to something else as well. That when, when a person remembers, it also facilitates something else, in that על ידי זה שתדע הכל, when a person remembers, so then there's a cumulative buildup of what he learns. And the, the understanding of Torah that a person has becomes greater and deeper and therefore there's more of a ne'imus associated with it, the more panoramic a person's view and grasp of Torah is. De-hainu, Torah obviously on the one hand, every pasuk, every mishna, every sugya has to be learned independently in, in its own context. But me-idach gisa there's certainly, there's certainly a holistic dimension and an understanding which, which results from having a panoramic view that a person can't glimpse just within one particular sugya. And yitochen that's what the Gaon is also referring to, So again, A, it's the, the etzem fact of the ma'alah שלא יגע לריק ולא נלד לבהלה, that the person retains what his amal and yegi'ah produced. And B, that allows it to, to combine and, and let him glimpse Torah also on its, in its holistic dimension. Okay, we'll, we'll, we'll stop here. So bli neder we'll continue at 12:30. Just one second. I'm sorry, just one second. Maybe we'll begin with, with the bottom mishna in קיי"ד עמוד א'. The bottom mishna בלי נדר אם ירצה השם on קיי"ד עמוד א'. Okay, rabbosai, have a good, productive morning, everyone should be well, be safe, be'ezras Hashem.
